I love running past the distance runners when they’re all in a group and talking. Because for those few seconds all you hear is “did you get my text last night?”, “foooooooood”, “guys i gotta pee”, *someone singing under breath*, “i’m boooooored”, “who is going faster?!?”, “my shins are hurting”, “when’s the next meet?”, “foooood”.
And it is pretty much the best thing ever.
